December 2007
President's Message
Season’s Greetings! For many of us, it is the time of year that we focus on giving, and Connecticut Public Broadcasting has something for everyone this December!
Crave adventure? Then join us for Nova’s documentary about Mount McKinley called, Deadly Ascent. And, if you’re searching for spiritual exploration, then the three-part series, Walking the Bible might be the choice for you.
More interested in sports? Then, get fired up over UConn Women’s Basketball games. To make things even more exciting, we are giving our viewers a chance to win an HDTV in CPTV’s Text Trivia Challenge. Watch for the trivia question during the basketball broadcasts, then text your answer to 57901. For official rules and details, visit our website at www.cptv.org.
Moved by music? Tune into WNPR’s new jazz program on Sundays at 9 p.m. starting on December 9. And, for the over 2,000 members who will celebrate the holidays with CPTV’s exclusive Red Carpet performances featuring Jethro Tull, Johnny Mathis and the Legends of Rock & Roll Spectacular, enjoy the festivities and we’ll keep you posted on future concerts!
We enjoy bringing you the types of programs you’ve asked for, and we’ve even taken the chance on some new programs and ideas this year. As 2007 comes to a close, we say thank you for your very generous support. Happy and blessed holidays to all!
