CPTV's 17th Annual Family Science Expo
Connecticut Expo Center, Hartford
School and Youth Groups: Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25, 2008
General Public: Saturday, April 26, 2008

General Information

CPTV's Family Science Expo is an annual event that parents, teachers and children look forward to each year. This innovative program encourages the understanding of science applications in our everyday lives and how science affects the future.

The 2008 Expo, designed for children ages 4-14, will take place at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Expo consists of an Exhibit Hall with 35-40 booths of hands-on science activities, demonstrations, products and information, as well as a Science Theatre featuring dramatic, live science-oriented entertainment on stage.  Click here for a list of Expo Exhibitors. (Not yet available)

In the 16 years since the Expo began, annual attendance has grown steadily and now reaches 12,000 people over the three days. Much of this growth in interest results from families who have come back year after year or those who hear of the event by word of mouth, as excited students, teachers and parents share their experiences.

The 2008 Expo will be held on Thursday through Saturday, April 24 through April 26, with the two weekdays reserved for school and youth groups, and Saturday open to the general public so that families can share the fun of learning together.

On Saturday, tickets will be available at the door. Admission is $5 adults, $4 children ages 4 and up.
