Field Trips
As an extension of CPTV’s commitment to children and science education, the Science Expo is open for field trips to school and youth groups with advance reservations to attend on the two weekdays, Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25. Educators may bring their students in grades K-8 to the Expo to experience this unique learning environment.

Plan Ahead: Get Your Study Guide for the Expo
The Expo Study Guide provides descriptions of the activities that students will encounter as they explore the Expo Exhibit Hall, along with questions that can be answered after students visit the various exhibitor booths.
The Expo Study Guide will be available in downloadable PDF form on this website in March, 2008.
Teachers: Please note that the Study Guide includes relevant "Questions to Ask" and the Connecticut Science Framework strand number(s) (grade level and number) where appropriate. The Study Guide will help your students maximize the educational benefits of attending the Expo while encouraging them to explore and enjoy.
2008 Study Guide
The Road to the Future - Weekdays Only
For seventh and eighth grade students, the Science Expo offers The Road to the Future. This exciting attraction at the Expo features professionals whose livelihood requires the use of science, math, or technology. These professionals will engage in roundtable discussions with students about their jobs and why science, math and technology play a role in their daily responsibilities. Free Tickets for Science Fair Winners
The Science Expo also offers complimentary tickets to any school’s science fair winners so they may attend the Expo with their families on Saturday, April 26. Contact Jane Moreno for more information, 860-275-7345.
Homeschoolers and Youth Groups
Home schooling families and youth groups have the option to attend Science Expo during the free afternoon sessions (1:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.) on Thursday, April 24 or Friday, April 25. Advance reservations are required.
