Live Science Theatre

A featured attraction at the CPTV Family Science Expo is the Expo’s Live Science Theater.

Dr. Quinton Quark returns this year with his crowd-pleasing show, “The Notion of Motion!”  Through audience participation, exciting demonstrations, and a pair of roller skates, Dr. Quark makes learning Newton’s Laws of motion fun!

Dr. Quinton Quark is a perennial favorite of students and teachers alike. 

A certified math, physics, and chemistry teacher, Ted Lawrence (a.k.a. On Saturday, April 26, a second show is added to the Science Theatre.  Casey Carle’s BubbleMania! is a favorite of audiences of all ages.  “BubbleMania” combines science, art and comedy for a show that’s just good, clean fun!  From super solutions and surface tension to cube bubbles and human-sized bubbles, this high-energy show guarantees that jaws will drop, laughter will explode, and brains will be whirling for family audiences.

Casey Carle began bubbling in 1987, while a Ringling Bros. Circus clown. Two years later he began his solo career and has been performing full-time ever since. 	Circus Fit™ Saturday – 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. Join Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey clowns as they teach you how to become “Circus Fit™!”
This national youth fitness program encourages America’s youth to lead healthy, active lifestyles by combining the fun of circus skills with stretching, strength building and aerobic exercise.  This 25 minute program will have kids up and moving.  Stop by for some fitness fun! Walkabout Character

CURIOUS GEORGE™, from the PBS Kids hit show by the same name, will be on-hand to greet his fans. George loves science, math and engineering, and his show can be seen weekdays on CPTV. Expo visitors are invited to bring along a camera to get photos of their children with this cute and friendly monkey.
