CPTV is Connecticut's Emmy Leader in 2007
CPTV Receives the Most Emmy Nominations of any Connecticut Television Station
HARTFORD , Conn. – The New England Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced on April 10 that CPTV has received 18 Emmy nominations, the most for any Connecticut television station. The nominations came in 12 different categories, ranging from Public/Current Affairs to Children’s Program. The 30th Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony will be presented at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
James A. Whitsett Jr., CPTV’s senior vice president for local programming, said, “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the talented group of producers, editors and production people for creating such excellent programming for Connecticut Public Broadcasting. By telling Connecticut’s stories, you are providing an educational and entertaining service for our viewers.”
Since 1989, CPTV has won 60 Emmy awards and received 312 nominations.
