New Haven Free Public Library
The mission of the New Haven Free Public Library is to provide free and equal access to information in an environment conducive to study and resource sharing through collections, technology access, programs and services that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our City’s diverse communities. The vision of the Library is for continued growth and enhancement of the library system and services and be an urban asset providing all socio-economic individuals the ability to succeed in the 21st Century.
"We are pleased as a public library to join with our museum, cultural arts, and public broadcast partners in bringing this exciting initiative in family learning to the citizens of Greater New Haven, and facilitating the role of parents as their child's first and best teacher." Says James C. Welbourne, City Librarian, City of New Haven.
