With the potential for a Connecticut climate that feels more like South Carolina, winters would look very different. The red line on this map shows the area of the northeastern United States that typically has a least a dusting of snow on the ground for at least 30 days per winter. As our climate warms, the snow is projected to retreat; blanketing only a small portion of the region.
