	When people talk about job searching in Connecticut, they often express the view that high-paying positions are hard to find and that entry-level jobs won’t provide an adequate income due to the high cost of living in this state. Another common thread in the debate is that many companies are moving out of Connecticut and taking the jobs with them. Is this true? Think again. “work. learn. live. ( Connecticut),” a new 12-part, monthly television series airing on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV), will examine the realities of the employment landscape in Connecticut.

	Premieres Thursday, April 24th at 9 p.m. on CPTV The eleventh episode of “work. learn. live. (connecticut)” focuses on what some say is the largest contributor to the unprecedented workforce deficit in Connecticut, affordable housing. There has been a huge out migration of 18-34 year olds that we desperately need in our businesses. Affordable housing for those young professionals and families looking for their first home just isn’t available and that labor force is moving else where to find it. This episode examines what needs to be done to keep that population in Connecticut and keep our companies competitive on a global scale.
